A civil engineering contractor specialising in large-scale earthworks is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on a nationally significant infrastructure scheme in Suffolk. The role involves managing NEC contracts across cut/fill, drainage, haul roads, and associated early works on a long-term programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts

  • Lead change control, CE submissions, and cost forecasting

  • Prepare and present CVRs, applications, and supporting reports

  • Liaise with delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment with site progress

  • Support contract compliance, early warnings, and final account resolution

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy civils, earthworks, or infrastructure

  • NEC contract experience essential (Option C preferred)

  • Confident managing subcontractor performance and reporting to senior commercial leads

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

  • Site-based mindset with ability to work in a high-compliance environment

Package

  • Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (DOE)

  • Lodge allowance: £21,630/year

  • Car allowance: £5,000

  • Bonus: up to 10%
