About the Role
Cafcass is seeking two experienced Family Court Adviser (FCA) Social Workers to join their teams across Essex and Norfolk/Suffolk. You'll play a vital role in safeguarding children involved in family court proceedings, ensuring their voice is heard and their best interests are represented.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent children in family court proceedings
- Undertake assessments and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations
- Work closely with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
- Prepare high-quality reports for court
- Manage a varied caseload effectively and professionally
Essential Criteria
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration
- Enhanced DBS completed within the last 12 months via an agency
- Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Ability to start within 4 weeks' notice
- Strong court experience and report writing skills
Desirable Experience
- Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience
- Previous experience within Cafcass or similar court-based roles
